Underlying such combined themes as: script in acrylic paint, or script and book-binding-is the development of an individual calligraphic style as a means of self- expression. Experiments with colour, form and rhythm, and intensive observation encourage participants to find new forms and develop a harmonious expression of script in picture form. Various ways of presenting script are described in the seminars which participants can use in their individual work. I encourage a balance between making new discoveries, practice, and completion. Materials are provided; quills, pens, and other writing tools, plus a variety of papers, paints and inks, and literature. Additional material may be purchased.
