THEMATIC WORKSWORDS OF SILENCE

The Year of Silence, 2010, was the inspiration for these works.Together with the lyrik poet, Stephanie Freienstein and musician, Matthias Freienstein, Birgit Nass evolved an exhibtion and poetry- reading concept that brings together the spoken word, image and music. Silence in its many forms- as a threat, a release, or the power inherant in every creative act- is central to the project . Stephanie Freeienstein's poems are interpreted as calligraphy on canvas and paper. The entire project can be booked as an event. Matthias Freeinstein accompanies the exhibition and readings with improvisation on the piano. Additionally, a media show supports the combination and offers visitors a deeper insight into the paintings.
